Engineering (Development) and Plan Review
Plan Review & Submittal Information
Newberry Springs Fire Department reviews applicable development and construction projects to help ensure fire department access, water supply, fire protection systems, and other fire and life-safety requirements are addressed before and during construction.
What We Review
Depending on the project, Fire Prevention review may address one or more of the following construction, site-development, and fire-protection features.
New construction and tenant improvement projects
Fire department and emergency vehicle access
Water supply for fire protection
Fire sprinkler and suppression systems
Fire alarm and life-safety systems
High-piled combustible storage
Hazardous materials storage and related systems
Solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage systems
Other projects requiring fire and life-safety review
Plans are reviewed for compliance with the currently adopted California Fire Code, applicable provisions of the California Building Code, California Residential Code, other applicable state regulations, and referenced NFPA standards. Construction documents should clearly identify the scope of work and provide sufficient information to evaluate applicable fire and life-safety requirements.
